Questions, answered without the sales version

Every answer below is a promise I intend to keep. If one of them turns out to be wrong for your practice, I would rather you find out here than in week two.

Frequently asked questions

Will my phone number change?

No. We forward calls from your existing line under the conditions you choose — after hours only, after a set number of rings, or when the line is busy. Your number, your voicemail, your caller ID. If you cancel, you remove the forward and everything is exactly as it was.

What happens when the agent can't handle a call?

It stops trying. It takes the caller’s name, number, and reason for calling, tells them a team member will call back, and drops a transcript into your inbox and your sheet. It never guesses at a clinical question and never argues with an upset caller.

For anything urgent — pain, swelling, bleeding, trauma — it gives the caller your emergency instructions and offers to transfer or page, exactly as you specify during setup.

Does it work with Dentrix / Eaglesoft / Open Dental / Curve?

Not directly, and I'd rather tell you that up front than discover it in week two.

The agent writes into a Google Calendar your front desk can see, and sends every booking as a notification with the full transcript. Your team confirms it into your practice management software the same way you’d handle a booking taken on paper after hours.

If you’d rather not have anything land on a calendar automatically, we run in request mode: the agent collects everything and proposes a time, and nothing is booked until a human approves it. Most practices start here.

If your PMS exposes an API your practice already pays for, we can look at a direct write. That’s a separate conversation, not part of this program.

Are calls recorded, and do you tell callers?

Yes to both. The agent identifies itself as an automated assistant at the start of every call and states that the call is recorded. Recording law varies by state, so this disclosure runs on every call regardless of where your practice is.

You can request that recordings be deleted after transcription and only the text retained.

Does it sound like a robot?

It sounds like a calm receptionist with an even voice. It is not going to be mistaken for your best front-desk person, and any vendor telling you otherwise is selling you something.

The comparison that matters isn’t the agent versus your receptionist. It’s the agent versus the voicemail that call is hitting right now.

Listen to a real recorded call before you decide. That’s what the 15-minute call is for.

How long does setup take, and what do you need from me?

Two days to a test number you can call yourself, and five business days to go live on your real line — both counted from the same 30-minute kickoff call. From you:

  • 30 minutes on a call to walk through how your front desk actually handles a new patient
  • Your hours, appointment types, and roughly how long each takes
  • Your emergency instructions, in your words
  • Access to forward your line, and a Google account for the calendar

After that I build, you listen to test calls, we adjust, and it goes live.

What if my front desk hates it?

Then we’ve built the wrong thing and I want to hear it on the weekly call. The agent is meant to catch the calls that currently go nowhere, not to sit between your team and your patients. If it’s creating cleanup work for your front desk, that’s a defect, and it either gets fixed or you switch it off.

Can I turn it off?

Instantly, and without asking me. Remove the call forward and every call goes back to your line. There’s no contract term after the first 12-month price lock, and no cancellation fee. Month to month.

Why is this cheaper than the other AI receptionist companies?

Because you’re an early client and I want recorded results I can point to. That’s the whole trade. You get founding pricing and my direct number; I get a case study and honest feedback when the agent gets something wrong.

What I’m not doing is racing anyone to the bottom on price. If you find something $50 cheaper, take it — this only makes sense if the support is what you’re buying.

Who owns the recordings and the data?

You do. Recordings, transcripts, and the lead sheet are yours, exported on request, at any time, including after you cancel.

What's the catch on the free first month?

I’m covering the telephony and voice costs during the trial, which is a real number for me and the reason this is limited to two practices. If it works, you stay. If it doesn’t, you’re out $0 and I’ve learned something. The $500 covers the build, and it’s refundable under the terms above.

Get a number to call yourself

Half an hour on the phone: I ask how your front desk handles a new patient today, and 48 hours later you get a live number running your hours and your emergency script. You call it yourself. If it is not a fit for your practice, I’ll tell you plainly on that first call.
